Since
there is no pushing, pulling, grasping or resisting in an awakened relationship,
there is a natural ease. There is
a seamless coming and going. There
is always a meeting in Love. This
Love recognizes in the other on a deep level their life situation, and the way
they relate is always appropriate.
This applies to the so-called open relationships, as well as exclusive
relationships knowing that no expression of form lasts forever. In the deepest sense there is only This
– This Love – and all appearances, all forms, and all individuated beings are
only This.
Love
is essentially impersonal and yet pours through our personal relationships with
tender loving care – care in the deepest sense. This care includes all. To a person experiencing and living under the rules of
duality, the expression stemming from oneness may seem aloof. Awakened relationships are in actuality
deeply vital and their foundation is Joy, so there is no longer the need for the
outward displays that a relationship based on the laws of duality exhibit. There is no war, because there is no
other. An awakened human
relationship pours forth a most divine perfume.
What
if we are in a relationship where one person is awakening and the other is
not? Again, to the awakened, there
is an abiding contentment regardless of outward displays. If there is residue in an awakening
individual, it is revealed in the desire to change the other partner or
situation in any way. This does
not preclude the depth of feeling that may be felt by the awakened when the
partner remaining in duality consciousness is experiencing suffering. For this depth of feeling is a gift from
True Self made available through the human vehicle. When feelings are clear and deep, compassion and the draw to
service arise.
Since
integrity is naturally at the forefront of an awakened being, all action is
spontaneous and all-inclusive. Any
actions take in account, on the deepest level, what is most helpful for
all. This isn’t always fully
reflected on the thinking level to the awakening individual. So, while in transition the awakening
person must trust in The Way. The
Way being the infinite intelligence that is beyond the capacity for the human
mind to analyze.
Eventually,
this trust turns into a deep knowing that all is well regardless of the current
expression that Love is displaying.
It is realizing that true power has always come and only comes from True Self,
and not the imaginary ego trying to desperately manipulate a situation in order
to save its dying patterns that were born out of duality consciousness.
Will a
relationship remain together where one individual is awakening and the other seems
not to be? Remember: To the
awakened, there is only one Love and they see through to the core of all people and
forms, this Love. This includes
every aspect that their partner is displaying. Within time the partner will be either attracted or repulsed
by the relationship and the vibrational shift that accompanies authentic
awakening in their partner.
All
beings and all forms are always taken care of on the deepest level whether the
partnership weakens and dissolves or deepens and evolves. Being in love with Love itself can be
difficult or even impossible for a person who remains in duality consciousness
to accept because there is a belief that this Love is other than who they truly
are. The awakened being understands
this and the accompanying display of suffering deeply because they have also
had this perceived experience and its accompanying beliefs and feelings. They also know that it is True Love
shifting or not shifting this being's awareness. They know that all is where it should be. All is where it always is, hidden or
revealed.
There
are not the same rules in Oneness consciousness as there are in duality
consciousness because thoughts and feelings have been clearly seen through to
the core. How a relationship
appears, no matter its outward organization, is always and entirely held in the
arms of Love and Love’s integrity.
A
conscious relationship born out of True Love is everlasting because it feels
like Home. Wherever one is or
whatever one is experiencing, there is stillness and joy whether it is within
the company of another being or in the solitude of one’s own person. Here is always Love, Truth and Beauty
always abound.
