"My art is an outgrowth of spirit. The pieces come through as an act of grace reflecting the living beauty in the moment of their creation."

Maria Repke’s paintings, currently include three different series: “Of Wind and Water”, “Grace”, “Of Wing and Petal” and an upcoming abstract series, all are fused innately with a deep sense of the Divine.  This is true whether the painting is of an impersonal flower, a sensual woman or the blissful ocean.

Maria Repke is a native of the rolling hills of the Hudson River Valley in New York State. Greatly influenced by running barefoot in the woods, swimming in ponds and the creativity of her parents, she began her journey of creating art and perceiving the world from the inside out.

After receiving a fine art degree from the State University of New York at Purchase in 1990, Ms. Repke moved to California to work as a corporate graphic designer. Feeling right at home with the natural and abundant beauty of Southern California, she spontaneously turned to expressing the ineffability of pure awareness utilizing nature within her paintings and poetry both as an inspiration and go-between.

Now living in La Jolla, California and owner of CenterLight Gallery, Ms. Repke seeks to expand the awareness of the true beauty that eternally exists in all form regardless of outer appearances.
